Minutes of the E614 Software Meeting

                         24 January 2000


 Disk on Mitch (Renee) :

       The disk on Mitch has been replaced and backed up to Sept. 23.
       It has also been updated to Jan. 10 so there may be extra files.

 Kalman filtering (Maher) :

       We now have a Kalman filtering subroutine from ALEPH which is
       30 pages long.  Maher will put a list of Kalman filter references 
       on our web page so we can all start to study.

 First guess tracking algorithm (Roman):

       Existing code will be sent to Maher.  Jim Musser will send his
       hit organization code also.  In a few weeks these two pieces 
       should be patched together in MOFIA.

 Monte Carlo Bank for analysis (Maher, Dennis):

       The Monte Carlo (history) bank is now the highest Monte Carlo
       priority.  Second priority is incorporating drift time relations.

 Blind analysis (Art):

       Some effort needs to be made early in the software design process
       so that a blind analysis of the data is easily accommodated.  This
       topic will be discussed at our next meeting.

 New meeting time:

       Henceforth we will meet at 12:00 every other Monday in the video
       conference room.
