Minutes of the E614 Software Meeting

                   12:30 Tuesday, 5 October 1999


 MOFIA data structure revisions (MQ):

       Plane type - z, shift and rotation now have corrections 
       installed.

       TDC type - a data quality flag has been added to the time
       and width information.  There are now pointers to wire types
       and hit types.

 Coding conventions: 

       Pointer names should end in _p (underscore p).
       File names which contain modules should end in _mod
       (underscore mod).
       Comments may be placed on separate lines as well as on 
       statement lines.

       It was agreed to have an F90 template header to be used by
       developers as a starting point for code.

 Compilers (RT, AO):

       The ABSOFT compilers have not yet arrived at TAMU.

 MOFIA 2.0 (MQ,RP):

       MOFIA 2.0 will be released in one week.

 Benchmark tests of F90 vs F77 (MQ):

       The day after the meeting Maher presented a speed comparison
       of F90 vs. F77 MOFIA.  The times required to analyze beam 
       test data were identical to 3 decimal places (see Maher's
       mail message).
