Minutes of the E614 Software Group

                      10:00 AM Friday, 11 June 1999

 Monte Carlo Run Numbers:

Monte Carlo run numbers have been assigned to the various member
       institutions as follows:

       TRIUMF 1:2000
       Valparaiso 2001:4000
       Texas A&M 4001:6000
       U. Alberta 6001:8000
       U. Regina 8001:10000
       Russian Team 10001:12000
       UNBC 12001:14000
       U. Montreal 14001:16000

They will be handled in CFM as negative run numbers in order to
       distinguish them from real data.

 Fortran 90:

Art is having some compiler troubles which he hopes eventually
to solve. There are now three versions of a data structure each
of which does the work of the old F77 common. These are test
versions which contain hit information to be used by the tracking.
They also represent varying levels of sophistication which we may
or may not want. Renee will send these versions to interested
       people.

Monte Carlo Physics Bank (history file):

Roman will be asked to post his proposal for the physics bank
which will go into the YBOS bank used in Monte Carlo and analysis.
After he does so, Roman, Don and Dennis will discuss it. Renee
has volunteered to set up the initial Monte Carlo bank.

 Digitization progress:

Dennis will release improved digitization routines by the end
       of the month.

 Visualization:

Renee and Paul have incorporated Paul's latest photo routine
       into the analysis.

Next meeting: 10:00 AM PDT, 25 June 1999.
