Subject: TN-23 Simulation of a Time Expansion Chamber as a Means of Correlation ...

Simulation of a Time Expansion Chamber (TEC) has shown a correlation
between the initial muon track direction and the muon spin direction at
the
stopping target. Using a converging beam tune it was found that mean
depolarizations of about 2 parts in 10000 could be reached while still
retaining a reasonable number of muons stopping in the target.
