Run plan for September 3-4, 2002. ================================================================ 1) Beam tuning study. Call Glen. Before he comes - take more high rate data: Stopping muons: p=29.6MeV/c, 70%He, Trigger = M, Rate= 4kHz on M. Time: till Glen comes (may be zero :) ================================================================ 2) Field on efficiency and t0 check: Make sure gas degrader set to 70%He It does not matter here, but saves time for the next item. Change NMRs to range 3. Move the DS scintillator package as close to the yoke hole as possible. Then put the lead brick (next to the scintillator) away. *DO NOT TRIP THE CHAMBERS!* : Before turning B1 on: close the F0H and F0V slits. Beam tune = 120MeV/c spray pions: Restore magnets from m13dev_120_all_spray.snap. Adjust rate by varying F0V and F0H. The aspect ratio should be 18:82. Trigger=MLT, DS (take 8 2GB runs with each) Rate = 4K on the trigger. run 120 MeV/c spray pions through the detector, illuminating as many wires as the field will permit. Time: 10min*16runs + 1 hour changing = 3.5 - 4 hours ================================================================ 3) More high rate data: Switch back to the stopping muons configuration: NMRs to range 1. Put the brick back and move the scintillator package away from the yoke. Switch trigger to M. Restore the magnets from m13dev_29p6_mag.snap B1NMR=870.4 B2NMR=950.2 Adjust slits for the rate. Take data: Stopping muons: p=29.6MeV/c 70%He, Trigger = M, Rate= 4kHz on M. Time: till beam goes off (supposedly at 8:30AM). ================================================================
