What to do when things go Bad -- TWIST Hardware Trouble

Midas Web
Interface | Electronic Log
book
This page describes some basic procedures for how you should react
to various system alerts (ie. Status Bar buttons going red). Whenever
anything goes wrong, you should note it in the ELog.
Note: if you have to turn off a PostAmp crate, it is
best to first stop the slow controls monitoring program
fepa
. If you can't do this (or forget) you MUST (when
power is restored) go the PostAmp display on the StatusBar and do
Set Hardware / Set All
. If you don't do this, the Red
Buttons on the PostAmp display will stay forever.
If a button goes red, push it. A window will appear with more detail
about what's gone wrong with which system.
