Short Term run plan, as of 20 November 2002 [update: 21 Nov 2002] Restore the SURFACE MUON settings (29.6 MeV/c; see Nominal Settings), except with all slits and jaws wide open and HV OFF (off in software, not necessarily on the front panel switches); wait for the control room to complete their target scans. Turn B2 back on (Nominal Setting). Take a complete (2 days, 288 runs) data set of surface muons. This should finish around noon Saturday, accounting for the lost time from the slit problems on Thursday. Next, set all PC High Voltages to 1950V; keep the DC's at Nominal. Take a complete (2 days, 288 runs) data set of surface muons. (This is for testing the effects of PC inefficiencies on reconstruction.) When these sets are finished, set up the 50 MeV/c spray tune (Nominal Settings), and take 1 hour of data (for efficiencies and things). Resture PC HV's to Nominal Settings. Momentum scan: take data at each of several steps from 29.6 MeV/c to 32.8 MeV/c. Exactly which steps to use will be posted here RSN... Go to CLOUD MUON settings (32.8 MeV/c; see Nominal Settings). Continue taking data. Glen will be in Monday morning to do miscellaneous tests and things. The beam gas test is in here.
