Short Term Run Plan Last Modified 02.06.18, around 7pm, by Yuri Davydov Plans for the next 2 days had been discussed during 3pm meeting. 1. Noise vs HV, postamp thresholds study. Number of runs will be taken with range of HVs on the DCs and PCs and for different thresholds with a pulser as a trigger (similar what we did during November 2001 run). It will help us to select appropriate thresholds on the DCs and PCs. This study requires few hours (with 16us TDC window, 1000Hz trigger rate and about of 10**6 triggers it gives 16 seconds of integration time and requires about of 16-17 minutes for each point). 2. Efficiency, crosstalk, multiplicity vs HV, threshold study (see Maher's posting). Set of short runs will be taken with 120 MeV/c beam. As we almost know our working points it was suggested to take data in smaller HV range than it proposed by Maher. When DCs and PCs working conditions will be finalized (from efficiency and noise studies) longer runs will be taken with wider beam for alignment and time zero purposes. Also the same data will be used for efficiency and cross talk variation across of plane study. 3. Beam study. Glen and Jaap will continue beam study. Noise study will be done tonight. Carl and Grant start it as Renee will finish DAQ test. Efficiency vs HV, threshold study is planned to start this night or tomorrow morning (Wednesday) depending on beam rate. Glen and Jaap need all chambers at working conditions for beam study and it is supposed to be done after the noise and efficiency study. But this study has highest priority so Glen and Jaap could start it tomorrow morning before efficiency study if it will be no beam this night. So, during Tuesday night - Wednesday - Thursday these studies should be finished and we will be ready to turn magnet on on Friday.
