TWIST CAMAC Scaler list There are currently 3 6-channel CAMAC scalers in the TWIST crate, which are read out. This allows 18 channels (numbered 0 to 17), to be connected as follows. The connections have been made from the NIM electronics to the patch panel, and will function as soon as this patch panel is connected to the patch paned underneath the CAMAC crate. A logic diagram of the NIM trigger electronics will be posted soon. Channel Signal Function 0 T1ION 1AT1 ion chamber, BL1A current monitor 1 M12 discriminator (35 mV) on analog OR of tubes M1 and M2 of thin muon scintillator 2 M1D discriminator (35 mV) on tube M1 3 M2D discriminator (35 mV) on tube M2 4 M1LD discriminator (15 mV) on tube M1 (for e+) 5 M2LD discriminator (15 mV) on tube M2 (for e+) 6 PU positron upstream, coincidence of PU1 and PU2 7 POSMU PU within 4 microseconds of trigger 8 PU1 discriminator (50 mV) on analog OR of tubes PU11 and PU12 on positron scintillator nearest to stopping target 9 PU2 discriminator (50 mV) on analog OR of tubes PU21 and PU22 on positron scintillator farthest from stopping target 10 N/C 11 DS coincidence of downstream pion/positron scintillators 12 M coincidence of M1D, M2D, and M12 (the latter determines timing) 13 FBALL from FBPCH09, all fastbus triggers 14 FBTR to FBPCH10, trigger signal to fastbus 15 FBBUSY from FBPCH11, OR of busy signals from fastbus 16 FBALL2 from FBPCH12, should be same as FBALL, but in future could be used for scaling TDC stops 17 N/C
