COMMON CUTS used during data analysis. (From Jim Musser, March 21, 2003) (Updated by Jim Musser, July 22, 2003) (Updated by Jim Musser and Andrei Gaponenko, December 17, 2003 with input from analysis group) #################################################################### # These cuts are official cuts for analysis prepared for the NSERC # # review, January, 2004. # #################################################################### Cuts are listed in sequence from most general to most specific. It is recommended that they are applied in this order and histogrammed as such. Event Cuts ---------- TCap: Cut 1 - Depends on data. None for MC. Event type: Cut 2 - EventType = 1,2,6 or 7 (Clean) Muon stopping vertex: Cut 3 - Last muon DC hit is DC22 Cut 4 - Last muon PC hit is PC6 Cut 5 - Maximum muon distance from detector axis is 3cm Track Cuts (Must be satisfied by at least one decay window track.) ---------- Fitter ierror: Cut 6 - Decay positron track has fitter ierror = 0 Decay vertex: Cut 7 - Last decay DC hit is DC21 or DC22 OR First decay DC hit is DC23 or DC24 Cut 8 - Maximum decay vertex position in uv is 3cm from detector axis Fiducial Cuts ------------- Momentum: 20 < p < 50 (MeV/c) cos(theta): 0.54 < |cos(theta)| < 0.80 (or 1.25 < |1/cos(theta)| < 1.852) Binning of momentum and cos(theta) plots for fitter --------------------------------------------------- Momentum - 110 bins in [0.,55.]MeV/c cos(theta) - 100 bins in [-1.,1.]
